Do you have any incontrovertible evidence to support this assertion or are you just expressing your own conspiracy theory? Having said that, given the smack on the wrist with a feather that RBR got for busting the 2021 budget (I wonder whether they did it again in 2022 .....will we even find out?), I wonder whether teams like Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren are going to be tempted to do the same? The FIA's spineless approach to enforcing the budget cap may well encourage other teams to start serving caviar sandwiches in their hospitality outfits. Lol.15-05-2023 11:39

@No Mickey why do you think teams try to poach personnel from rival teams? Is it not because of the knowledge, skills and experience they have gained in their roles to date and hence are expected to apply those attributes in their new roles? They may not fall foul of copyright and IPR rules but will inevitably apply what they know.15-05-2023 12:03

Its all very well being happy with the car. Ferrari need to sort out their strategy team which messed up so many races and threw away a number of likely wins.31-12-2022 12:15

You mean like RBR have been doing (as well as blackmailing the FIA that they would take away their motorsport sponsorship if they weren't helped)?05-12-2022 11:55

@Mech Eng has anyone ever told you that you are a genius? I suspect not. Btw, lots of fans wanted GR in the Merc in 2021 instead of VB. But, your antipathy towards LH and ability to even make the weather report an anti-LH rant suggests that you really have a very deep disliking for him. Could be that you're consumed by the green eyed monster? He probably doesn't even know that you exist.05-12-2022 11:10

Max is a great driver (it's premature to call him an all time great but he has the makings of one although he has shown that he has a narcissistic and vindictive streak - his pathetic behaviour in Brazil 2022 showed what a petty and sad human being he really is. No class whatsoever.). He now has 2 (tarnished WDCs ). The first one due to a corrupt Masi and FIA not wanting to see a black man become the first and only 8 times F1 WDC and hence cheating LH out of the 2021 WDC and the second due to RBR cheating on the budget cap and hence gaining a significant advantage (not Max's fault). For many, even if he wins in 2023 it will be a tarnished one because of the inherent advantage in the car from the 2021 budget overspend by RBR. There is no guarantee that they haven't done the same in 2022 although they will be cooking the books after being rumbled for their 2021 cheating. Sadly many so called fans think Black driver + great car = it's all about the car White driver + great car = it's all about the driver. LH is a 7 times WDC DESPITE the deck being stacked against him by many in the sport - FIA, Bernie, Masi, etc (luckily for him not those in Mercedes or McLaren). As i said, Max is a great driver (one of the best but not the best IMHO) and clearly has it in him to be a multi non-tarnished WDC if only his team and the FIA circus would not try to stack the deck in his favour. He is able to do so fair and square.05-12-2022 11:39

Max has 2 WDCs and both are tarnished by some form of cheating - 2021 by collusion/incompetence by Masi/RBR and 2022 with RBR cheating on the budget cap in developing the 2022 car. Not Max's fault. He should have sewn up the 2021 championship a lot earlier and without the AD2021 controversy.23-11-2022 02:21

Let's face it, Checo may be a likeable chap and good at managing tyres but WDC material he is not. He was unable to beat Leclerc despite Ferrari messing up on strategy and reliability with Leclerc throughout 2022. He should have been well clear of Leclerc. Frankly, he has wasted the 2nd seat at RBR. Leclerc deserved to be 2nd overall in the WDC.23-11-2022 02:11

@Kzik You seem to have a very shallow understanding of the issue. If the only penalty for exceeding the budget cap and hence gaining a performance advantage is a financial penalty, then why would rich teams like Ferrari, Mercedes, AMR and McLaren not do the same? Which begs the question: what's the point of the FIA imposing a financial penalty and hence undermining the rationale for the budget cap rules? In case you've forgotten, the cap was introduced in order to try and level the playing field between the rich and not so rich teams. Try and park your fan boy emotions and look at the situation rationally. If you did, then you'd conclude that breaching the budget cap gives a team an unfair performance advantage against those who adhere to it. In colloquial terms, it's called CHEATING.14-10-2022 18:53

Why even ask such a question? Of course Max deserves to win the WDC this year. He and RBR have been exceptional this year. However, he did not deserve to be "handed" the WDC last year. It was stolen from Lewis by corrupt people in the FIA, RBR and F1.02-10-2022 03:19
